The Bryan County Bark Park’s next Bring Your Own Dog Yappy Hour will be from 6-8 p.m. March 13 at Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina, weather permitting.
At the event, a fundraiser for the building of the county’s dog park at Henderson Park, an update of the park’s construction will be presented, along with news about the appeal for sponsorships to commemorate the lives of canine companions.
Also, fliers with details of adoptable dogs will be available, and the Bryan County Animal Shelter will collect items for animals in need.
Attendees who donate pet care items such as dog or cat food, collars and leashes, pet shampoo, dental sticks or similar will be given a raffle ticket to enter into a drawing for a basket of Bryan County Bark Park items.
Southern Eagle will donate a keg of beer, which will be available for $1 a cup. Dogs can drink Bowser beer at $5 a bottle.
A percentage of all proceeds from the evening will be donated to the nonprofit organization behind the Bryan County Bark Park. Entry is free, and well-behaved dogs are encouraged to attend.
