Capt. Matthew Freeman 5K Run for Peace –
The Capt. Matthew Freeman 5K Run for Peace kicks off at 9 a.m. in J.F. Gregory Park. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Freeman Project, a nonprofit organization that sends school supplies to children in war-torn countries. Veterans Day observance – Looking for a way to honor veterans this holiday weekend? Richmond Hill will host its annual Veterans Day observance at 11 a.m. in J.F. Gregory Park. Guest speakers will include Mayor Harold Fowler, Col. Douglas C. Cardinale of Ft. Stewart and local veterans.

HarvestFest at Oatland Island –
Experience Georgia’s agricultural history at Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s annual HarvestFest from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. With food, music, hayrides and old-fashioned cane grinding, the event is sure to be fun for the whole family.
