April 1-2: Relay for Life – Support those with cancer and raise awareness and funds to fight it at Relay for Life of Richmond Hill. The 24 hour event, which will feature food, games and more, will take place from 7 p.m. April 1 to 7 a.m. April 2 at J.F. Gregory Park. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society. Friends of the Library Book and Yard Sale –
Richmond Hill Public Library’s Friends of the Library organization will hold its annual book and yard sale fundraiser at the library from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. All proceeds benefit the library.

Park Day at Ft. McAllister –
Help to preserve our area’s cultural heritage through volunteering on this nationwide Civil War site cleanup day.  In exchange for your efforts, receive a t-shirt and learn about Fort McAllister from local experts. For details, call 727-2339 or email dannybrown@coastalnow.net.

Shred Day at Bryan Bank – Bring old, sensitive documents to Bryan Bank’s Ford Ave. branch from noon to 3 p.m. to have them shredded, and enjoy refreshments and win prizes while you’re there. Utilize the drive-through shred service if you’re in a hurry. Shredding services are free and guaranteed safe.
