July 28: Common Threads - Richmond Hill Public Library’s crochet and knit group meets twice on Wednesdays; in the morning from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and in the evening from 6-8 p.m. The program is open to anyone interested in joining, beginners through experts. USCG Cutter Baroque Eagle - The only active tall-sail ship in government service docks along the Savannah River this weekend and will be open for free public tours from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit the ship in Savannah at the River Street Pier, just west of the Hyatt.
Miss Live United Bryan County Pageant - United Way of the Coastal Empire presents this pageant for girls ages 1-10, taking place at 2 p.m. at Lanier Primary School (6024 Highway 280 East, Pembroke). The event is a fundraiser for the Bryan County office of United Way of the Coastal Empire, and participants are required to have logged community service hours. Guns n’ Hoses softball tournament - It’s police vs. firemen in a charity softball tournament benefiting Muscular Dystrophy Association. Game will take place at Grayson Stadium (1401 East Victory Dr., Savannah) at 3 p.m. Stick around for a picnic and Sand Gnats game afterward. Cost is $7 and includes both the softball and baseball game.

Mothers of Preschoolers Open House - If you’re a mother of children ages 5 and under, come to see how MOPS can benefit both you and them.
