July 13: Story time performance – The Richmond Hill Public Library presents a performance by storyteller “Granny P,” who gets into character with a number of costumes and performs songs, magic tricks and more.  Story time will take place at First Baptist Church Richmond Hill (9184 Ford Ave.) at 2 p.m. and is free of charge. July 14:
Harry Potter costume contest and trivia challenge –
Children ages 13 and up are invited to partake in Richmond Hill Public Library’s “House Cup Competition” with Harry Potter trivia, costume contest and movie screening. The fun begins at 4 p.m. To learn more, stop by the library (9607 Ford Ave.) or call 756-3580.

July 16:
Dollars for Dylan garage sale –
Head over to the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a fundraiser garage sale. Proceeds will go to the Moore family of Richmond Hill to help pay for medical expenses as their young son, Dylan, battles leukemia. For more information, contact Nancy Miller at 572-7151 or

July 19:
Richmond Hill Farmers Market –
Celebrate the debut of the Hill’s own farmers market, where you can purchase fresh, locally-grown produce, plants, art, crafts and more, at the J.F. Gregory Park pavilion from 4-8 p.m. The market will take place at the same time and place every Tuesday through mid-October.
