July 13: Story time performance – The Richmond Hill Public Library presents a performance by storyteller “Granny P,” who gets into character with a number of costumes and performs songs, magic tricks and more.  Story time will take place at First Baptist Church Richmond Hill (9184 Ford Ave.) at 2 p.m. and is free of charge. July 14:
Harry Potter costume contest and trivia challenge –
Children ages 13 and up are invited to partake in Richmond Hill Public Library’s “House Cup Competition” with Harry Potter trivia, costume contest and movie screening. The fun begins at 4 p.m. To learn more, stop by the library (9607 Ford Ave.) or call 756-3580.

July 16:
Dollars for Dylan garage sale –
Head over to the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a fundraiser garage sale. Proceeds will go to the Moore family of Richmond Hill to help pay for medical expenses as their young son, Dylan, battles leukemia. July 19:
Richmond Hill Farmers Market –
Celebrate the debut of the Hill’s own farmers market, where you can purchase fresh, locally-grown produce, plants, art, crafts and more, at the J.F. Gregory Park pavilion from 4-8 p.m. The market will take place at the same time and place every Tuesday through mid-October.
