Nov.6: Richmond Hill Historical Society Lecture — The Richmond Hill Historical Society will kick off the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the siege of Fort McAllister with its November lecture. A historic interpreter will take guests through the details of the final assault of Fort McAllister, “Guardian of Savannah,” which allowed General Sherman to resupply his troops and take Savannah in 1864. Guests are invited to the barracks at Fort McAllister at 7 p.m. for a cup of cider and the fireside program. Cost is free for members and $5 for non-members.

Oysters for the Ogeechee Night — Support the Ogeechee Riverkeeper by attending this event at Bonna Bella Yacht Club and Restaurant, located in Savannah. Drinks will be served starting at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the event will include all-you-can-eat oysters, pasta jambalaya, vegetarian red beans and rice and Lowcountry boil. There will be music by DJ Jose Ray and a large silent auction. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 per couple in advance, and $45 per person or $70 per couple at the door.

Movie Night Under the Stars — The Ice Cream Stop in Richmond Hill invites the community to a free family fun night of movie watching under the stars. Friday evening’s showing will be a PG-rated movie, and Saturday night’s movie will be rated G. The movies will begin at dusk. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Arts on the Coast and Leahy Art Gallery Arts Show — Arts on the Coast and Leahy Art Gallery invite the community to an evening  of fellowship with community artists at Leahy Art Gallery in Richmond Hill Court starting at 4 p.m. There will be hors d’oeuvres, beverages, music and more. Paws in the Park Fall Festival — The Bryan County Bark Park’s Fall Festival will be from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at the facility in DeVaul Henderson Park. The event will include a 3K run and half-mile walk, costume contest, talent contest, onsite micro-chipping for $55, nail clipping and ear cleaning for $5 and raffles.

Nov. 11
Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Ceremony — In honor of the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Vietnam War, the city of Richmond Hill and Bryan County are having a recognition ceremony at J.F. Gregory Park for local Vietnam and Vietnam-era veterans. Veterans from this era who would like to be recognized by receiving a certificate of appreciation should call 756-2831. This event is free and will run from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Nov. 12
Low Country Eye Care Ribbon Cutting — The community is invited to the ribbon cutting and grand opening of Low County Eye Care’s newly constructed, free-standing building located at 1000 Gandy Dancer in the Station Exchange. The event will begin at 1 p.m. with catered food and drinks. Tours of the building will be provided.

Nov. 13
 Taste of Richmond Hill — Richmond Hill Bryan County Chamber of Commerce members and their guests are invited to enjoy an evening of food, fun and networking in the Richmond Hill City Center from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
