Oct. 9: Ruffled Feathers Boutique Ribbon Cutting — Ruffled Feathers Boutique, 2552 Highway 17, is having a grand opening and ribbon cutting from 1:30-2:30 p.m. There also will be a grand-opening sale and light refreshments. For more information, call 459-2252.

Magnolia Manor Pig Roast — A volunteer and community celebration will take place at Magnolia Manor, 141 Timber Trail, which includes a pig roast. Bring your friends and family for good food and fellowship. RSVP by calling 756-4300.

Oct. 9-12
Fort Stewart carnival — The community is invited to the carnival at Fort Stewart, taking place on Walker Field, which will include four food concessions, six games of skills and 19 amusement rides for adults and children. Fees for rides range from three to four tickets per ride. For unlimited rides for one night, arm bands are available for $25. No outside coolers or food are allowed. Movie Night Under the Stars – The Ice Cream Stop in Richmond Hill invites the community to a free family fun night of movie watching under the stars. Friday evening’s showing will be a PG-rated movie, and Saturday night’s movie will be rated G. The movies will begin at dusk. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Oct. 14
Richmond Hill Farmers’ Market — Stop by the farmers’ market between 3-7 p.m. under the pavilion at the J.F. Gregory Park. A variety of produce and local crafts will be available for purchase.
