June 14: Movie Night Under the Stars  — The Ice Cream Stop in Richmond Hill invites the community to a free family fun night of movie watching under the stars. The movie will begin at dusk. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Visit the The Ice Cream Stop’s Facebook page for more information.

Our Father’s Wars — From 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the community is invited to Old Fort Jackson in Savannah, where they can experience the lives of soldiers stationed at Fort Jackson during the American Revolution, War of 1812 and Civil War. Special children’s activities will be available, including musket demonstrations and trying on historic uniforms. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children. For more information, call 232-3945.

June 17
Richmond Hill Farmer’s Market  — Stop by the farmer’s market between 3-7 p.m. at the pavilion at the J.F. Gregory Park. A variety of produce and local crafts will be available for purchase. June 18
Public Library Summer Performance — The community is invited to the Richmond Hill United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. for the Richmond Hill Public Library’s summer performance of the year. The performance will feature storyteller J’miah Nabawi with her performance, “World-Beat Books: Folklore and Literature From Around the World.” The event encourages children to read and has a science theme. Children of all ages are welcome to attend this free event.
