Feb. 22-24: Springtime Made in the South  – Check out the unique crafts and art created by Southern artisans at the 2013 Springtime Made in the South show at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. The show will be open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission costs $7. To learn more, visit www.madeinthesouthshows.com.

Feb. 23:
Festival fundraiser  – A festival fundraiser to benefit Evan Nelms, a 5-year-old Richmond Hill boy who is battling leukemia for the second time, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill. The festival will include raffle prizes, horse rides, face painting, live music and more.  All proceeds will go toward Evan’s medical expenses.

Riverkeeper gala  – Ogeechee Riverkeeper will present “At Waters Edge!,” the 2013 annual awards gala at 5 p.m. at Fort McAllister State Park. The gala will feature historic re-enactments, educational wildlife demonstrations from Georgia Southern University, live bluegrass music, an open bar provided by Moon River Brewery, a silent auction and more. Proceeds benefit the Ogeechee Riverkeeper. Tickets are $100 per person, $150 per couple and $750 for a table of 10. Tickets are available at www.ogeecheerivergala.eventbrite.com.

Feb. 27:
Deen book signing  – Join Paula, Bobby and Jamie for a book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah. Only 350 tickets will be given out starting one hour before the signing, so be sure to show up early. Cameras are prohibited, but a professional photographer will be on site to take your photo.
