Mr. and Mrs. B.L. “Billy” Kennedy recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The two were high school sweethearts and were married on Aug. 28, 1953, by the late Rev. V.P. Bowers at the Pembroke Christian Church.
The couple has been blessed with three children, Diane (Jerry) Ennis, Richard (Sharon) Kennedy and Pam K. Miller; as well as seven grandchildren, Gini Lea Ennis, Ricky Kennedy, Neill Kennedy, Justin Miller, Jeremy Ennis, Keith Shabi and the late Jessica Ennis; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Ivey Kennedy and Neill Kennedy Jr.
