Rainer and Susan Harris of Columbus and John and Teresa (Cowart) Purdy of Richmond Hill announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittnee Lauren Harris, to Travis Coffman, the son of Sam and Pat Coffman and Dwight and Becky Griffis, all of Baxley.
Brittnee is a 2005 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and a 2010 honors graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's of science degree in early childhood education. She is employed as a teacher with the Bryan County Schools system and also serves as the cheer coach for the Richmond Hill High School competition cheerleading squad.
Travis is a 2000 graduate of Appling County High School and a 2006 graduate of the Apprenticeship for The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Travis is a member of the IBEW Local 508.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 12, 2013. Invitations to be mailed.
