Liberty County is preparing for the first Southeast Prayer and Praise Leadership Conference on March 19.
National spiritual leader and empowerment specialist Dr. Cindy Trimm, of Stockbridge, and national recording artist the Rev. Dwayne Woods will conduct the conference. Trimm and Woods are not strangers to Liberty County; they’ve ministered here previously.
The conference host is Pastor Katrina Deason of Liberty Prayer Chapel in Hinesville. The conference, however, will be at Liberty Tabernacle of Prayer for all People in Hinesville, where Charles and Nancy Kornegay serve as pastors.
At 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, Trimm will facilitate a course called “rules of engagement” on spiritual warfare. Woods will sing and teach a course for praise and worship leaders.
Participants will be given manuals and audio CDs to take back to their churches to train others. Attendance at the service on Saturday morning requires registration.
The conference concludes at
5 p.m. Saturday with a service that is open to the public. There will be special music, and Woods and Trimm will minister.
On Sunday, March 20, there will be a high noon prophetic service with Trimm at Liberty Prayer Chapel. This service also is open to the public.
“For many years, I have included a GEMA [Georgia Emergency Management Agency] layout of the 12 counties in the southeast region of Georgia in my prayers. My prayer has been that the presence of God would rest, rule and abide in our area. The Lord recently put it on my heart to have a conference and invite prayer and praise warriors from each of these counties,” Deason said.
“This meeting is nondenominational and open to all Christians who want to ignite the fire of prayer and praise in their cities, communities and churches.
“So far, we have gotten responses from churches in Chatham, Liberty, Bryan, Effingham and Wayne counties,” she said.
Others counties in southeast Georgia include Brantley, Bulloch, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, Long and McIntosh.
“Although Liberty Prayer Chapel is organizing this event this year, we are encouraging a church from each county to volunteer and take the prayer torch to each county in the southeast Georgia region until we have gathered in every county,” Deason said.
To pre-register, call Deason at 368-7335. The pre-registration deadline is March 15. You also can register online at www.seregiongaprayerandpraiseconference.org.
