Mr. and Mrs. Terry Dean Turner of Brooklet and Mr. and Mrs. Tal Maury Akins of Statesboro announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter Jessica Brooks Turner of Rincon to Christopher Ray Ellrod, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ellrod of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. Jason Livie of Ellabell.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Turner of Nevils and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Woods of Rock Hill, S.C. She is a graduate of Southeast Bulloch High School and Ogeechee Technical College. She is employed with Hancock Askew in Savannah, Georgia.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Tammy Baker of Ellabell and the late George "Jack" Ellrod and Mrs. Roberta S. Ellrod of Statesboro. He is a graduate of Bryan County High School and employed with Quality Drywall, Inc. in Pooler, Georgia.

The couple has planned to wed on April 28 at 4:30 in the afternoon at Nevils United Methodist Church.

No local invitations are being sent; all friends and relatives are invited to attend. Reception immediately following at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ellrod in Statesboro, Georgia.
