Mr. and Mrs. Chris D. Morris of Smyrna, Ga., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth, to John Keller Dukes III, son of Mr. and Mrs. John K. Dukes, Jr. of Valdosta, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Wilson Fussell of Hazlehurst, Ga, the late Ocala Fussell of Hazlehurst, Ga, and the late Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Morris of Oak Park, Ga.

Lauren is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School, Richmond Hill, Ga. She is also a graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a bachelor of science in secondary education with an emphasis in English. She is a member of the Chi Omega sorority.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Louise Dukes of Macon, Ga., the late John Keller Dukes of Macon, and the late Shirley Epperson of Waleska, Ga. He is a graduate of Valwood School, Valdosta, Ga. He is also a graduate of Valdosta State University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in criminal justice. He is employed by Georgia Farm Bureau as a claims adjustor.

The September wedding will be held at First Baptist Church, Valdosta.
