The holidays are just around the corner, and Georgia Game Changers Running Company is asking custimers to get creative, hosting a Decorate an Old Running Shoe Contest.

Sandra and Ron Elliott, founders of the company, said you don’t have to be a runner to enter, and that if you don’t have an old running shoe, a fitness shoe of any kind will work.

The rules are simple: Decorate an old shoe (the store can provide one) with a holiday theme. Next, give your shoe a creative name. Thirdly, bring the shoe (or shoes if you have lots of ideas) to Georgia Game Changers no later than Wednesday.

The shoes will be on display at the store from Small Business Saturday, Nov. 26 until Dec. 10, which is also the weekend of Richmond Hill’s 6th annual Holiday Market.

Customers will vote for the winners. The three shoes with the most votes win prizes.

The Elliotts said they have seen some creative and unusual entries, and they look forward to sharing the community’s artistic side with the customers.
