In conjunction with Hands On Georgia Week the Pembroke Senior Citizen Center received a thorough cleaning, including the vehicles used for transportation, along with some minor repairs last Saturday, thanks to some helpful volunteers.

Employees of the senior center, Kathy Sauls, Sandra Fields and Terri Taylor were joined by senior center members, Bryan County High School Student Council and private citizen volunteers in donating their time and effort to spruce up the senior center.

Hands On Georgia Week is a program designed to encourage citizens across the state to volunteer their time and services in local community activities such as the Senior Citizen Center Community Clean Up Day. Hands On Georgia Week began Saturday, Sept. 29 and runs through Saturday.
