The Richmond Hill Garden Club has selected the yard of Memorie Durant of 87 Lindsey Dr. in Wellington Oaks Subdivision as the September Yard of the Month. Garden Club member Nancy McAuley (right) is shown presenting Ms. Durant with a Certificate Proclaiming Yard of the Month for September. Ms. Durant also received gift certificates from Tim and Dave’s Nursery and Ellie’s Market. The Garden Club works for the beautification of the area with plantings at the Primary School and the J. F. Gregory Park. The Seventh Annual Pumpkin Patch, the Club’s main fund raiser, will be held Oct. 6 at J. F. Gregory Park this year. The club members are busy preparing for this fun event and invite all residents to attend. The club holds monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of the month at the Richmond Hill Library at 10 a.m. The meetings feature a lecture pertaining to all aspects of gardening.
