Landmark Holiness Church will host a regional revival Sunday through Friday, Nov. 5, at the church at 711 Parker Ave. Extension, Brooklet.
The services Sunday will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., and services Monday through Friday will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Brother Brent Gabbard from Hazard, Ky., will be the guest evangelist.

Meeting postponed
The Bryan County Board of Commissioners regular meeting slated for Nov. 2 has been moved due to Election Day.
The meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, in the commissioners’ meeting room at the courthouse in Pembroke.
The board’s December meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the administrative complex south of Richmond Hill.

High school battle

Richmond Hill High School juniors and senior will battle it out next week with ordinary household objects in a competition based on the NBC series “Minute to Win It.”
The event is at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, in the high school gym.
The entry fee is $5, and ages 4 and under are free. All proceeds will benefit the Matthew Freeman Project: Pens and Paper for Peace. Donations of pens and paper will also be accepted at the door.

Veterans program
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 164 and Boy Scout Troop 357 will celebrate Veterans Day with an annual flag ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, in the park in downtown Pembroke.

Bureau meeting
Bryan County Farm Bureau will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4, at the J. Dixie Harn Community Center in Pembroke
All Bryan County Farm Bureau members are welcome to attend.

CAC meeting
The Georgia Coastal Management Program’s Coastal Advisory Council’s 2010 fall meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Coastal EMC in Midway.

Renewal services
New Beginnings Community Church will have spiritual renewal services at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, through Saturday, Nov. 6, and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7.
The guest speaker will be Kenny Grant from Savannah.
The church is located at the entrance to Buckhead North on Hwy. 144. Nursery will be provided and everyone is welcome.

Darien festival
Come celebrate fall at the Darien Fall Fest from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6. Fall Fest activities simultaneously occur in historic downtown Darien, at nearby Ashantilly Center and at Fort King George Historic Site. Food and fun abound at this seasonal-themed event, which highlights coastal Georgia’s Scottish heritage, the cultural bounty, and maritime legacy.

Library closings
The Richmond Hill Public Library will be closed for a staff workshop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9. The library will open that day from 2 to 7 p.m.
The library will close for the Thanksgiving holiday at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, and will reopen at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29.

Veterans observance
Richmond Hill will hold its annual Veterans Day Observance at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, in J.F. Gregory Park. Fort Stewart will provide the guest speaker, and light refreshments will follow.
