Church feast
Gospel Truth Bible Clinic Love of God Ministries will hold a Feast of Tabernacles at noon Thursday at the ministry at 362 Wade Carter Road in Ellabell.
Come celebrate the coming return of Jesus – when he will give new bodies, called tabernacles, for his children to live in. There will be performances by the Expression of Worship Dancers of Coastal Cathedral Church and more.

Church barbecue
The annual Old Time BBQ is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22 at Ellabell United Methodist Church at 3113 Hwy. 204.
There will be pork and chicken plates with such side dishes as potato salad, snap beans, stew, bread and extra sauce. The cost is $7 per plate.
There also will be cakes, pies, cookies and other home-cooked sweets for sale in addition to a silent auction.

Tree planting
The Coastal Bryan Tree Foundation will be replacing some trees and mulch Saturday at DeVaul Henderson Park south of Richmond Hill.
Volunteers will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the park for coffee and doughnuts and should bring gloves and shovels.

Fall Festival
Beulah Baptist Church will have its Fall Festival from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.
The evening will include games, prizes, a silent auction, cake walk, hamburgers, hotdogs and more. Proceeds will benefit the Beulah Baptist Youth Group.

Pet adoption

PawParazzi is hosting an adoption day along with Coastal Pet Rescue volunteers from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at 11250 Ford Ave. in Richmond Hill.
Stop by to meet adoptable pets and find out how to become a Coastal Pet Rescue volunteer.

Dolphin Project
The Dolphin Project will host its October meeting 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Johnny Harris Restaurant in Savannah.
The speaker for the evening will be Dr. Eric Montie, professor at University of South Carolina Beaufort. His talk will be on marine bioacoustics and his published research on neuroimaging.

Blood drive
The Bryan County High School Science Club and the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the high school gym in Pembroke.
The community is invited to come out and make a donation to “help save a life.”

Family reunion
The Futch family will hold its 64th reunion Sunday at the Smith Family Reunion Center on Seed Tick Road off Hwy. 119 near Pembroke. All descendents of John Morgan Futch and Nancy Crosby Futch are invited. A basket lunch will be served at 1 p.m.

The Richmond Hill City Council will hold a budget workshop at 6 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 40 Richard Davis Drive.
