Libraries closed
The Richmond Hill Public Library and Pembroke Public Libarary will both be closed Monday in honor of Memorial Day.

Organic gardening
A program on organic gardening and farming will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the John W. Stevens Wetlands Education Center in Richmond Hill.
Dr. George Boyhan of the University of Georgia will be presenting the program and representatives from the Bethesda Home Organic Farm will be on hand for a presentation and a sample of  some of their products.

Bryan County Democrats
The Bryan County Democratic Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pembroke Public Library at 1018 Camellia Drive. The following meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. June 24 in Suite 3 of the Crossroads Center on Highway 17 in Richmond Hill.
The committee’s monthly meetings alternate between Pembroke and Richmond Hill. All interested Democrats are invited to attend. For more information, call 653-3078.

Meeting postponed
The Richmond Hill Planning and Zoning Commission’s regularly scheduled May 27 meeting has been postponed due to Memorial Day.
The meeting has been rescheduled to 7:30 p.m. May 28 in City Hall.

Faith, Fitness and Fun
The Richmond Hill YMCA and New Covenant Presbyterian Church will hold Faith, Fitness and Fun vacation Bible school for children ages 5-11 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at J.F. Gregory Park. Cost is $10 per child. For more information or to register, call 912-756-5856.
