The city of Pembroke and First Baptist Church will host the third annual Patriotic Picnic and Concert at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
The concert will feature the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division Band from Fort Stewart. The event is free and the concert will start at 7 p.m.

July Fourth event
The city of Richmond Hill will hold its annual 4th of July celebration from 5-9:30 p.m. July 6 in J.F. Gregory Park.
The free event will include live music from 3rd Class Citizen Band, as well as arts and crafts vendors, family fishing, inflatable water slides and more. The Richmond Hill Farmers Market will be held during the celebration as well, and there will be a fireworks display around 9 p.m.
Food and beverage vendors will be on hand. Coolers will be permitted, but no alcohol will be allowed.

Pre-K vacancies
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K, a federally funded program for preschool children from low-income families, has vacancies to fill before classes start Aug. 9.
Children participate in a variety of educational activities designed to improve school readiness. They also receive free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks and enjoy quality play indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K is at 166 Bacontown Road in Pembroke. School hours for the pre-K class is 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for the 3-year-olds class is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All singers are invited to join the Savannah Sacred Harp Singers from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Faith Primitive Baptist Church, 3212 Bee Road in Savannah.
