Beulah Baptist Church in Pembroke will be hosting vacation Bible school from 6-8:30 p.m. daily through Friday.
The theme is “Facing Fear, Trusting God,” and classes are for children in pre-K through grade 6. Supper will be provided.

Meeting change
The Development Authority of Bryan County’s regular monthly meeting has been rescheduled for 7:30 a.m. June 26 at the Sheriff’s Complex in Richmond Hill.

Junior Ranger Camp
Fort McAllister’s Junior Ranger Camps are set for June 24-28 and July 15-19 at 3894 Fort McAllister Road south of Richmond Hill.
Attendees will learn skills from Civil War soldier training to outdoor survival ethics. They also will explore the park’s marsh ecosystem and end the week with a canoe trip down Redbird Creek to Shark Tooth Sandbar.  
Times are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. daily. Participants need to bring their own lunches. The cost is $90 per camper.

Pre-K vacancies
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K, a federally funded program for preschool children from low-income families, has vacancies to fill before classes start Aug. 9.
Children participate in a variety of educational activities designed to improve school readiness. They also recieve free medical and dental care, have healthy meals and snacks and enjoy quality play indoors and outdoors in a safe setting.
Bryan County Head Start/Pre-K is at 166 Bacontown Road in Pembroke. School hours for the pre-K class is 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for the 3-year-olds class is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Request for volunteers
Odyssey Hospice of Savannah and Statesboro is looking for giving people to help make a difference with its hospice patients. Those who enjoy playing cards, singing and talking with others, as well as those who can do light office work, are encouraged to volunteer.
