Early voting
Early voting for the July 20 general primary began Monday and and will continue through July 16 at the Bryan County Courthouse voter registration office at 141 South College St., Pembroke. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

VBS
"Saddle Up" for a fun-filled week at Saddle Ridge Ranch vacation Bible school.Round-Up Rodeo (kickoff) is Saturday, June 12 from 1-4 p.m., with rides, games, and food! Art classes
The city Of Pembroke is holding beginning art classes on Thursdays, from 10-11:30 a.m. at the J. Dixie Harn Community Center. Carolyn Morgan is teaching the class. The cost is $15 for a six week session.

Summer Food
America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Summer Food Service Program in Bryan County is ongoing.
Meals will be provided free-of-charge from 4-5:30 p.m. at 362 Wade Carter Road, Ellabell, to children enrolled in the summer program without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

Teacher appreciation
All ladies are invited to Carey Hilliard’s Banquet Room, 11111 Abercorn St., on Wednesday, June 23, at noon for a buffet lunch for $10.25.
Teachers will be recognized and honored. Ladies will model fashions from “Go Fish” on Broughton Street. Phyllis Page from Chelsea, Ala., will speak about surviving heartaches.

Corinith VBS
Corinth Baptist Church, 19536 Hwy. 144, Richmond Hill, will have Saddle Ridge Ranch vacation Bible school, June 21-25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Supper will be served at 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Family night will be Friday with supper after the program. There will be classes for all ages, including adults

Thrift store
St. Elizabeth’s Attic--Thrift and Gift Store is now open and has jewelry, appliances, clothes, furniture, books, children’s toys and games.
It is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.

Praise in the Park

A Praise in the Park Festival will be held Saturday, June 26, from 4-8 p.m. at Hendrix Park. Praise in the Park is a festival, reaching people, young and old, for Christ.
Praise in the Park is a celebration with music, dance, fun and games, to offer a glimpse of who we are and the work and service of the church with a goal to become acquainted with each other and our community. Bring a blanket or chair.

Flag football
Upward Flag Football K5-12th grade boys and girls upward cheerleading for K5-sixth grade girls. Early Registration cost is $75 and deadline is July 4, cost after July 4 is $100. Art show
Bryan County artists are now being featured at the new Bryan County Administrative Complex. The show is in the main lobby and is accessible to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show will run through September.

Seminar for women
The Women in Action ministry of Bryan Missionary Baptist Church presents "Born for Such a Time as This" seminiar for women from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, at the Wetlands Center in J.F. Gregory Park in Richmond Hill.
The seminar is for women and young adults ages 16 and older. Admission is free.
Guest speakers will be Evangelist Gwendolyn Broxton of Christ Memorial Baptist Church and Minister Leona Miller of Holy LIving Christian Center.

Richmond Hill United Methodist Church will set sail for the high seas during the its annual vacation Bible school set for 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 12-16 at RHUMC, 9050 Ford Ave.

Junior Rangers

Fort McAllister State Historic Park will offer Junior Ranger Summer Camp June 28 -- July 2 for children ages 8 to 12. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily. The cost of the camp is $70 per child.
Activities will include nature walks, arts and crafts, games, wildlife lessons, canoeing, nature scavenger hunts and much more. The deadline to register is June 18 for the week of June 23.
Call 727–2339 for registration and information. The participation is limited to 20 campers for each week.

4-H Club
The Bryan County 4-H Club reaches nearly 1,000 young people in Bryan County each month with learning activities such as club meetings, camps, public speaking events, judging and competition teams, community service and citizenship opportunities.  All of these activities make 4-H the largest youth program in the country.
Your help is needed to assist with the funding of these activities.
All money used to support educational programs through 4-H must be raised through fund-raisers or donations from the generous people of Bryan County.
