Bone screenings
The Women’s Information Network will offer free osteoporosis information session and bone density screenings from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah during the free Lunch with a Doctor event.

Wetland workshop
The Richmond Hill Garden Club will have an Adopt-a-Wetland workshop next month for volunteers to become certified in chemical and visual monitoring.
The workshop is at 9 a.m. July 14 at J.F. Gregory Park Pavilion. This class is also for those who need yearly recertification and fresh chemicals for the testing. Volunteers are sought to test wetlands in their neighborhood or community. Wetlands are any salt marsh, tidal creek, river, beach or swamp. Wetlands play a role in water quality, sediment retention, flood control and wildlife habitat.

Church sports
Registration for Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading for K5-sixth grade is now under way at First Baptist Church of Richmond Hill. Forms are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday in the church office. Deadline to register is July 14.

Electronic filing
Bryan County Superior Court Clerk’s office, in conjunction with the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority, has developed an online electronic filing portal, and UCC forms can now be filed online beginning Sunday at efile.gscca.org.

Early voting
Early voting for the July 31 general primary and nonpartisan general election begins at 8 a.m. Monday-July21.
Voters can cast a ballot from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Voter Registration Office at 151 South College St. in Pembroke and at the County Administrative Building at 66 Capt. Matthew Freeman Drive in Richmond Hill.
Both locations will also be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21.

Planners meeting
The Richmond Hill Planning and Zoning Commission will have a public hearing on the proposed “Purple Pipe” ordinance regarding the reuse of water from the wastewater treatment plant at 7 p.m. July 16 at City Hall. The commission’s regular meeting will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Kicklighter reunion
The 53rd annual Kicklighter reunion will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 28 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church in Glennville. A potluck meal will be served from noon to 1 p.m.
The family meets to celebrate its ancestors Thomas Kicheliter and family, who moved in 1753 to the U.S. from their home in Germany.
There will also be an early bird gathering at 6 p.m. July 27 at the same location.
