Called meeting: The Pembroke City Council will hold a called meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday at City Hall to meet in executive session to discuss personnel, land acquisition and litigation.
The council will also convene for its regular meeting at 7 p.m.

Meeting nixed
The Richmond Hill Planning and Zoning Commission meeting set for Monday has been canceled. The commission’s next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 28.

Asperger support
The Richmond Hill Asperger support group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Richmond Hill Public Library community room.

Libraries closed
The Bryan County libraries at Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed Jan. 21 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. They will reopen at 10 a.m. Jan. 22.

County workshop
The Bryan County Board of Commissioners will hold a workshop at 8 a.m. Jan. 26 at Fire Station 7, 5995 Highway 204 in Ellabell.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss goals and priorities for 2013. The public is encouraged to attend.

Tax office closed
The Bryan County Tax Commissioner’s offices in Pembroke and Richmond Hill will be closed Feb. 6 for staff training on Georgia’s new title ad valorem tax.

Volunteers needed
Hospice Savannah is seeking homecare volunteers in Bryan, Liberty and Effingham counties and will host two training sessions Feb. 2 and Feb. 9.
