The Richmond Hill Historical Society will host professor and noted historian, Chris Hendrix, as guest speaker at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Richmond Hill Museum for its monthly lecture series.
Hendrix’s topic will be “A Tour of Savannah’s Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century Architectural Styles.”
The historical society’s monthly lecture series is free to members and to the general public. The society does not charge attendees, but donations are always appreciated.

Free trash day
Bryan County’s Free Trash Day will be from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at Spur 144 Landfill in Richmond Hill and Millcreek Landfill in Ellabell.
Items that will be accepted at no charge are all bulk items and yard waste and automobile tires, with a limit of four tires per person. Items that will not be accepted are household garbage, wet paint, chemicals, oil and tractor and semi-truck tires.

Preschool open house
Richmond Hill Montessori Preschool will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to noon April 13 at the new facility at 2933 Highway 17.
The public is invited to explore the new state-of-the-art school that includes a wing for every stage of a child’s development as well as a 2,500-square-foot indoor playground and more.

Free practice LSAT
Prospective law school students can take the LSAT practice test for free from Savannah Law School and Kaplan Test Prep from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. April 13 at SLS, 516 Drayton St. in Savannah. Attendees will take the mock test under test conditions.

Crisis Center fundraiser
The UnMaskerade fundraiser is set for 6:30 p.m. April 13 at the Hoskins Center at 5000 Ranger St. in Savannah.
The event, which benefits the Rape Crisis Center, will feature comedian Roz McCoy and have a live and silent auction.

Gospel festival
Magnolia Manor on the Coast will host its second annual Gospel Music Festival by the Lake from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 13 at 141 Timber Trail in Richmond Hill. New Horizons, Maude and JC Thompson and Terry Brown will perform.
