City Center sponsoring Rotary fundraiser

The Richmond Hill City Center has confirmed that it is the presenting sponsor for the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill’s annual fundraiser Saturday.
“This sponsorship is worth over $2,000 to the Richmond Hill community, because every cent that is raised helps us continue with our annual program of scholarships, helping Richmond Hill’s school children and senior citizens and giving grants to organizations including the YMCA, the Ogeechee Riverkeeper and Family Promise,” club President Lesley Francis said.
The ABBA Girlz Tribute Band will perform at the fundraiser, which runs from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the City Center. Special 1970s-style cocktails exclusively made for the event will be $8 apiece, with 20 percent of proceeds going back to Rotary’s charitable fund. There also will be a full cash bar. Dinner and some non-alcoholic drinks are included in the ticket price of $60 per person.
Bidding on silent-auction items will take place before the performance.
Auction items will include a ride in an airplane simulator, trips to Tybee and North Carolina, Ford Plantation experiences, a Hugo Boss suit, dining and grooming options, gift baskets and Yeti coolers. There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as a range of raffle prizes.
“We are very grateful to the community for their sponsorship and donations to the auction,” said Beverly Cosmann, center general manager and Rotarian. “The City Center is deeply committed to the people of Richmond Hill, and we are delighted to be able to support our community through this sponsorship.”
