SAVANNAH — Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire has announced a $500,000 Community Challenge campaign to raise funds for the expansion and renovation of the Savannah Ronald McDonald House.
Owner/operators of Savannah-area McDonald’s restaurants will match every dollar raised in the campaign up to $170,000.
This campaign enables RMHC to expand its service capacity by 30 percent. The campaign will pay for three additional bedrooms and other needed renovations at the current 10-bedroom Savannah Ronald McDonald House.
All renovations will be in the current 12,000-square-foot facility. To date, the facility, which opened in 1987,  has served more than 7,000 families and children.
