Pet owners can help raise funds for the Bryan County Bark Park on Dec. 2 by having their dogs take pictures with Santa Claus. The event will be from 1-4 p.m. at PawParazzi, 11408 Ford Ave. at Parkers Square in Richmond Hill.

Cost is $20 per family photograph, which will be available to take away that day.

Also, all participants will be entered into drawing. All money raised will be donated to the Bark Park fundraising campaign. All donations are tax deductible because the nonprofit organization is obtaining 501(c) 3 status.

“We are trying to do all we can to raise money for the Bark Park and encourage residents to not only have a wonderful seasonal photograph with their beloved pets but also to raise money for what will be a great facility for our community,” said Jane Honnor, Bark Park vice president and owner of PawParazzi. “At the moment, if local people want to go to a dog park, it involves a long drive into Savannah or further afield.

“We really believe that Bryan County should have its own park where well-behaved dogs of any size and breed can socialize and enjoy time off the leash in a safe, hygienic and pleasant environment.”
