Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruce Shultz of Richmond Hill are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Lynn Shultz, to Randall Clayburn Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Wayne Cox of Ragland, Al.

The bride-elect is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Doyle of Richmond Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Shultz of Richmond Hill, and the late Mrs. Barbara Shultz. Miss Shultz is a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelor of fine arts degree in communications. After working three years for Marannook, a Christian camp in LaFayette, Al., she is now pursuing her master of arts in teaching while working at Richmond Hill Elementary School as a paraprofessional.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Leroy Cox of Baton Rouge, La., and Rev. and Mrs. Douglas Ford of Ragland, Al. Mr. Cox is a 2001 cum laude graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor of arts degree in graphic design and 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University Montgomery with an alternative master of arts degree in art education. He is employed as a graphic design teacher at Auburn High School.

A June wedding is planned at Richmond Hill United Methodist Church.
