This past week, the Richmond Hill Middle School BETA Club returned from its trip to the national convention in Richmond, Virginia.
The BETA Club’s motto is: Let us Lead by Serving Others, and this is a quality modeled by the leadership of the and the Bryan County School System.
Richmond Hill Middle School students had a chance to compete and represent Georgia in three categories: 1) Colored photography — Caroline Infinger,   2) Black and White photography — Regan Derr and 3) Recycled Art — William Webb.
Although we did not place at the national level it was inspiring to witness these future leaders represent their state and their school with honor and grace. In addition to attending the convention, the students had an opportunity to tour Colonial Williamsburg and Monticello. It was a moving moment to not only walk in the footsteps of Thomas Jefferson and many of our founding fathers, but it was truly exciting to witness our students touch history and make memories that will stay with them forever.
Teacher sponsors were Susie Reed, Mathew Amason and Lacey Craven.
