It’s that time of year when the local Lions clubs gives out STAR student of the year awards, and those students in turn pick their STAR teachers.

This year’s STAR students are Richmond Hill High School’s Braden Chapman, who was selected by the Richmond Hill Lion’s Club. He chose as his STAR teacher AP chemistry teacher Joe Traywick. Pembroke Lion’s Club STAR student is Bryan County High School senior Bradley Howard. He chose as his STAR teacher Inga Cashon.

The students earn the recognition for their academic performance and SAT scores.
