Richmond Hill Garden Club member Sandy Workman presents the club’s $1,000 scholarship to Madison Vargas, a 2016 Richmond Hill High School graduate, at the school’s honors night May 9. An honors student, Vargas plans to attend the University of North Georgia to major in biology and minor in environmental science. The club awards a $1,000 scholarship annually to a graduate who plans to major in an environmental field.
