VALDOSTA — April Ward of Richmond Hill has been recognized among more than 240 students from Valdosta State University who made the summer 2015 dean’s list.

Students who achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional GPA of 3.0 or higher are recognized by being placed on the dean’s list.

2 Richmond Hill students enroll at Brenau U.

GAINESVILLE — Local students enrolled at Brenau University starting the fall 2015 semester include:

• Margaret Ann Norton from Richmond Hill, majoring in health science, prenursing. She is a graduate of St. Vincent’s Academy.

• Casey Frances Qua from Richmond Hill, majoring in health science. She is a graduate of Richmond Hill High School.

STC names historic preservation leader

SAVANNAH — Savannah Technical College has selected Benjamin R. Curran as its department head for historic preservation.

In this role, Curran is responsible for oversight of all instruction, curriculum development, administrative and budgetary aspects for the College’s Historic Preservation program. He will also be the director for STC’s Center for Traditional Craft.
