Active members of the Georgia Technology Student Association (GA TSA) and the Science Club at Bryan County High School participated in a field trip April 18 to Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. in Savannah as part one of their Georgia Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) project.
Next, students will learn about the aerospace industry and the economic benefits in Georgia as well as in the United States. The GA TSA students will be completing a unit on aerospace engineering with a culminating project of an Estes Wizard Rocket that will be launched on Georgia STEM Day on May 9. Students involved in the GA TSA are also members who have taken or are taking the Engineering and Technology Education pathway at Bryan County High School.
BCHS GA TSA adviser Inga Cashon thanked Christopher Nowicki of Gulfstream for planning the tour for the students, as well as to the chaperones, Ginnie Sherrod, Shannon Jarrell and Gail Williams.
