RHHS, BCHS and 10 other schools participated in a cross country meet on Oct. 10 at J.F. Gregory Park. The Richmond Hill girls placed the highest out of the local boys and girls teams – quite a feat seeing how their two top runners, Lindsey Vasher and Glorili Alejandro, were sidelined for this event due to injuries.

The highest placing Lady Cat was Kaitlyn Uhlig. Camden County nabbed the top spot for the girls, edging out RHHS by a mere one point. The only Lady Redskin to compete in the event was Jennifer Waters, who improved on her time.

The local boys teams failed to hit the top five, but there were some individual highlights nonetheless. Wildcat David Cassidy broke the 18 minute mark with a time of 17:59, placing second in the meet. Redskins Kurt Shuman, Tyler Moody and Nick Rudd all turned in personal bests. Rudd improved by over two minutes. Savannah Arts Academy placed first for the boys with Camden placing second.
