The Richmond Hill girls’ and boys’ tennis teams picked up wins against Savannah Christian at home Tuesday, 3-2 and 4-1, respectively.

For the girls, Hannah Yontz and Megan Bausch won at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, while Grace Cantele and Jacqueline Lea picked up a win at No. 2 doubles.

On the boys’ side, Kevin Zhu, Mason Murphy and Cameron Pipes swept the singles matches, while Jimmy Ward and Tauseen Mahmood won at No. 2 doubles.

Both teams are now 4-2 in the region and finish the regular season Thursday at Effingham.

“We’re looking forward to a win tomorrow so we can have a good spot at regionals next week,” Coach Cristina Mancheno said.

Region play begins April 12 at Statesboro, with the top four teams moving on to the state tournament.
