Resolution Runz on tap for Jan. 18
Run to benefit RHHS JROTC

Richmond Hill’s local running company, Georgia Game Changers, is once again directing this year’s Richmond Hill Resolution Runz, to benefit the Richmond Hill High School JROTC battalion.
The race this year will feature two races-- both a 6k and an 8k event, with the opportunity to do both races, for a 14k for 2014.
The race will be held on beginning at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 18 at WaterWays Township.
Sandra Elliott, CEO of Georgia Game Changers Running Company, said the race will help people get started on making the new year a healthy one.
“With everyone making their 2014 resolutions, we thought it would be important to have a race to help people get started,” Elliott said. “We want to encourage first-time walkers and runners of all abilities to come out to WaterWays and experience the beauty of WaterWays Township while achieving some of their new year’s goals.”
The race will also feature a vendor areas where the Richmond Hill Functional Training Center will sponsor a “Push Up Challenge,” where participants donate $5 and compete to be the person who does the most push ups.
The winner will receive an FTC T-shirt and a one-hour personal training session with Austin Behle, owner of the FTC.
WaterWays Township’s Sales and marketing director Vance Askew and his team have supported many organizations in the community in 2013, by allowing races in their beautiful community. The WaterWays staff plan to continue their support of the racing community in 2014, Elliot said.
Other race sponsors include Great Harvest Bread Company, Atlantic Foot & Ankle, Coastal Therapy and Jalapeno’s Mexican Restaurants.
Each of the participants will also receive samples of a new product to the area, Power Ice, a new electrolyte frozen product. Great Harvest Bread Company will also be offering samples of their delicious, homemade bread for runners and spectators, alike.
Participants may sign up either on the www.savannahraces.com website, or at the store during packet pickup, scheduled for Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
