Columbus Northern finished up Pool 2 play with an 11-1 win over Murphey Candler on Wednesday at the 2012 Georgia Little League state championship tournament for 10/11 year olds. The tournament is taking place in Richmond HIll.

Athens led South Fulton 9-7 late in the other morning game.

Afternoon games include host Coastal Little League against Martinez Evans and Midway Heights vs. Cartersville. At 2-1, Coastal is having the best season in its short history and is a game away from advancing to the semifinals, which get under way on Thursday.
