Richmond Hill’s road trip to Wayne County on Friday is a matchup of top 10 teams, according to one source.

Both are in at No. 8, according to Georgia Public Broadcasting.

The Wildcats are ranked No. 8 in Class AAAAAA and the Yellow Jackets are No. 8 in Class AAAAA. Both teams are 1-0. Richmond Hill knocked off Grovetown 27-7 on the road on Aug. 17 and Wayne County beat Long County 49-0.

The game is in Jesup at WCHS. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. If you can’t make the game, Low Country Radio is broadcasting online.

Speaking of Long County, Bryan County High will look to get its first win of the Abram Scott era Friday when the Redskins’ play host to the Blue Tide, who are 0-2.

Bryan County fell 28-6 to Claxton High in the Redskins opener Aug. 24.  

Long County has yet to score this season. The Blue Tide fell 35-0 to South Effingham in the season opener for both schools.
