DNR hearing on gators

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division will hold a public hearing on April 14 for the public to comment on a proposed change to alligator hunting regulations. Those interested are encouraged to bring these meetings to the attention of others that also may be interested in participating.
The proposed change would increase the quota of available alligator hunting permits from 700 to 850, thereby increasing the number of opportunities in all alligator hunting zoned areas of the state.
The hearing will take place April 14 at 7 p.m. at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in the Ag Sciences Building, Room 137. The college is located at 2802 Moore Highway in Tifton,
Public comment is welcome. Statements should be concise to allow all interested attendees an opportunity to speak. Those unable to attend the hearing are encouraged to submit written comments by May 7.
