High school football season is getting a late start due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but coaches and players at both Bryan County High School and Richmond Hill High School are preparing for season openers.

The Redskins, seen in these photos,  open the season Sept. 4 at home against Butler High School from Augusta.

The Wildcats, meanwhile, open Sept. 11 at Ware County and in preparation are holding a Black and Gold scrimmage at 7 p.m. Friday at Wildcat Stadium. Attendance is limited to 1,000 and tickets are $5 and available online at https://gofan.co/app/events/92090?schoolId=GA23137.

No free passes will be admitted and spectators must wear face coverings.

See more about the upcoming football season at both schools in an upcoming issue of Bryan County News.
