The BCMS Lady Skins hosted the Southeast Georgia Middle School League Championship game on Saturday, Sept. 29.
The Lady Skins faced the Glennville Middle School Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Bulldogs took an early lead in the top of the first, scoring two runs. Fighting back in the second inning, Lauren Sparks put the Lady Skins on the board by stealing home. In the third inning, the Lady Skins came out in force, scoring nine runs.

After scoring two more runs, the game ended with the Lady Skins on top winning the 2007 Southeast Georgia Middle School Championship.

Tiffany Howard was the game winning pitcher, striking out seven batters and only allowing four hits for the day. Leading batters for the game were Jerri Hines with one double, one single, and three RBI’s, Rebecca Strickland, Jenna Schuman, and Sierra Newman each earned one RBI. The Lady Skins had a total of 18 stolen bases for the day with Tiffany Howard and Taylor Butler leading for the day with four each.

The Lady Skins finished with a 10-1 record.
