Mackensie Bailey, a Bryan County High School softball player, was selected as a regional winner in her sport for the 2019-2020 season, by the organization Positive Athlete.

Bailey joins 26 other male and female student-athletes named  "Most Positive Athlete in their Sport in the Southeast Georgia Region."

The organization receives over 5,000 nominations each year in Georgia, but only about seven percent of nominees are recognized as a regional award winner.

Winners are described by the organization as a "high-character, teamwork-oriented leader, who has experienced winning and losing, and has shown a heart for their school and community."
