Editor: Just a note to say "Thank You!" to the good folks at Coastal Electric Membership Corp. who put in long hours this past week, taking hundreds of outage calls, clearing downed trees from our roads and power lines, and working diligently to get our power back on as quickly as possible.

Also a big "Thank You!" to the many utility crews from out of town who came in to help. You did a terrific job, and relieved what could have been a long and difficult time to just a difficult one. I saw crews from a number of firms including Snapping Shoals EMC from Covington, Georgia, Davis Utility from Manning, South Carolina, another from Albertville, Alabama, and others. Our sincere thanks to you all, and may you have a safe journey home.
