The other day I looked up and noticed a lamp that was sitting on a table at the other side of the room in my office.

It has been there a long time but I have never really paid attention to it. The thought that came to mind was the fact that we as Christians have a light to follow. This light will guide us into a joyful life here on earth and an eternal home in heaven when we pass.

So what is this light that our Lord provides?

The book of Psalms 119:105 gives us the answer. It says, “Your Word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” God’s Word is readily available to us whenever we need guidance in all of life’s situations. The Bible has the answer for every question that we need answered.

So, the next time you need to know what to do or which direction to go, take the time to go to God’s Word and search out the answer.
