Failure to contact was misunderstanding

Dear editor: In a letter I wrote published Wednesday, Nov. 10, concerning Richmond Hill’s failure to contact American Legion Post 27 to participate in the Veterans Day ceremonies, it seems like Richmond Hill did try to contact me. A message was supposedly left on my answering machine, but I never received it. It seems like this electronic world has glitches. I wish to apologize to Mr. Steve Scholar and the city of Richmond Hill. Steve and I will come up with a better route of communication. Richmond Hill has always supported our veterans groups, but it was a misunderstanding between us. We will always support Richmond Hill, its schools and other functions. Again, I apologize to the city of Richmond Hill. Post 27 was called, and we were able to furnish a speaker at Thursday’s ceremony.
