Letter to the editor: Writer says follow science on transgenderism
LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Editor:

When talking about Global Warming- they always say “Follow the science” When dealing with the COVID- - the mantra was “Follow the science.”

But when the issue of Transgenderism come up no one is saying “Follow the science."

According to the science of genetics, there are only 2 genders: males with XY chromosomes and females with XX chromosomes. But if you even mention that fact, you are “Transphobic."

According to the science of Biology, there are over 100 physiological differences between males and females: Women have ovaries, a uterus and a vagina. Men have neither of the three.

The skeletal structure of women is significantly different than that of men.

Women have a shorter head, shorter legs and longer torso than men. Men have longer and wider feet than women.

Women have 20% fewer red blood cells than men.

Men’s brains are 11-12% larger and wired differently than women's.

Men produce 6-8 mg per day of testosterone versus women’s .05 mg/day.

Women have normal levels of estrogen from 45 pg/ml to 400 pg/ml during pregnancy.

Women produce only 50% of the serotonin that men have, so they worry more.

Men have a 5-10% higher metabolic rate than women.

Women’s mean body temp is slighter higher than mens.

Men have larger hearts than women.

Women’s hearts beat more rapidly than men's. The avg 80 beats per minute for women versus men’s 72 bpm.

Women have 30% less lung capacity than men.

Forty percent of a mans’ body weight is muscle compared to 23% of a woman’s body.

Men are 50% stronger than women in brute strength.

Women have a thicker layer of subcutaneous fat, which means they have softer skin than men Women can detect subtle variations in colors better than men.

Women have 43% more olfactory bulb cells than men. They can smell better.

Women have more taste buds than men. Some 35% of women are super-tasters) Women have larger stomachs, liver and kidneys than men.

Women have mensuration, pregnancy and lactation. (Men have none) These are just a few of the established scientific facts defining the difference between males and females.

But if you mention them in any discussion concerning Transgenderism, you will perhaps be labeled a “homophobe” or a “white supremacist.”

According to science there are only two genders, male and female. According to science it is impossible for a human to change their gender. For a man to get some artificial breasts, grow his hair out, put on make-up and a dress and then declare that he is a woman is nothing but foolishness.

According to the facts of science, one would have to make 100 physiological changes and change the DNA in every cell of the body in order to change gender. And that is scientifically impossible. It’s time for us to get back to reality and “Follow the Science.”
