This month, we would like to highlight Orafol Americas, an adhesive film manufacturer in the Interstate Centre industrial park that is headquartered out of Oranienburg, Germany. Orafol employs over 300 people across three states, with 121 full-time employees located at the Black Creek facility. The Black Creek location is home to the industry’s graphic product division, where products such as digital media, premium vinyl graphic films, laminating films, and reflective products are made.
Orafol was the first industry to locate in Interstate Centre, and it’s hard to believe that it has been over 15 years since Orafol chose the park as its new home. The choice to locate in Interstate Centre proved to be a good one as the industry continued to experience growth and success, so much so that Orafol decided to expand its facility just a few years after the beginning of operations.
This expansion was completed in 2009 and added approximately 92,000 additional square feet to the existing 260,000 square foot facility. Since it initially located in Interstate Centre, Orafol has tripled its planned investment.
With property adjacent to its facility, the industry still has more room to grow.
The success of Orafol has helped to validate Bryan County as a premier location for industrial projects and set the stage for future industrial growth, which has led to the creation of hundreds of jobs in the community. We are excited to see what the future holds for Orafol and are so glad they chose to call Bryan County home all those years ago.
