God’s justice will prevail
pastor corner

I was recently thinking about all the situations that I personally know, about and of those I have read about, where people were treated unjustly. In other words they were either accused of something falsely or just treated badly for no real reason. There were the extreme situations such as the Salem witch trials where innocent people lost their lives. Then there were those, who because of the color of their skin or nationality, or class, were treated as inferior. As long as we live on this earth, the fact is, there will be injustice.

We can be part of the problem or part of the solution. We are instructed in Isaiah 1:16-17 to “Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow”. We can do our best when possible to stand up for and speak out for those experiencing injustice.

Above everything else we know that God is just and ultimately His justice will prevail. Isaiah 30:18 reminds us of this truth when it simply states, “For the Lord is a God of justice.”

God sees everything and is the ultimate Judge. God’s justice sometimes does prevail in this life but will definitely prevail in the next.
